THINGS TO KNOW

ACCOMMODATION

Accommodation for 3 days & 2 nights with all meals is included in the package. You will be accommodated in one of the best hotel in the area at the most scenic location.

Rooms will be on twin sharing basis.

Hotel will have proper washrooms and hot water facility.

The room allocation will be done on random basis prior to the event. You will be informed about the same.

FOOD

We will provide nutritious food with variety of local and Indian cuisines. We will have menus specially designed for heavy-workouts and easy-digestible food in mountains.

HYDRATION

During the race our body consumes salt and sugar in big amount. Our hydration kit for the race is designed accordingly.

WEATHER

During the day time it will be pleasant, varying from 12°C to 28°C and slightly cold during the night.

Temperature while Race duration will vary from 10°C to 30°C.

Wind will carry the winter chill and one will feel the bite when in shade for long.

REACHING MANALI

By Flight:

The nearest airport is at Bhuntar, located approximately 50km away from Manali. Domestic flights connect Bhuntar with Delhi and Chandigarh. Once at the airport, you can take a pre-paid taxi to Manali. However, owing to weather conditions, flights are not the most reliable option for getting to or out of Manali.

 

By Bus:

Manali is very well-connected to important tourist destinations like Leh, Shimla, Kullu, Dharamshala and New Delhi by means of a network of state-run as well as private buses. The bus journey from Delhi to Manali is 550km, and it is advisable to book your tickets in the air-conditioned Volvo coaches, as the buses are more comfortable than ordinary ones, keeping in mind the long distance of the journey.

 

Road/Self Drive:

The drive up to Manali is simply breathtaking! You can catch scenic glimpses of the adjoining mountains and valleys from almost every turn that the twisty uphill road throws you in. Though a lot of tourists prefer a self-drive up to Manali, it is advisable to hire a taxi in case you are not comfortable with driving in mountainous regions.

Manali offers the most captivating views of magnificent mountains, verdant valleys and splendid sunsets. It’s all picture perfect.

  • Walk around old Manali town
  • Hadimba Temple
  • Naggar Castle
  • Vashist Temple & Water Springs
  • A day trek to Beas kund, Brighu lake, Bijali mahadev or Patalsu.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. Conclusion of contract:

1.1. To participate in Solang SkyUltra you have to be at least 18 years of age at the start of the run and inadequate athletic shape.

1.2. Your signature on the registration form or your clicking of the appropriate field during the online registration process indicates that you accept and understand all term and condition of the run regulations. You acknowledge and assure that you have read, accept and will abide by all run rules and regulations.

1.3. The Organizers are not responsible to provide any services other than the ones mentioned. Additional services, in particular with regard to personal and technical support are only owed if an agreement on such matters were reached in writing ahead of the actual event.

  1. Obligations:

2.1 Each runner is responsible to ensure adequate physical and mental preparedness and attitude for mountain running, if necessary in conjunction with medical consultation. Participants accept full responsibility for their belongings and it being in good working order. Runners are obliged to heed all directives and guidelines by the run organizer and any instructions by run staff and any aides.

2.2 Foreign nationals are advised to obtain all necessary information from the respective consulates. It is the responsibility of each participant to make sure that they have obtained valid travel authorization and documents, which may be required for participation in the Solang SkyUltra.

  1. Accreditation:

Each participant will receive the starter package during the accreditation process only upon presenting the following:

3.1. The confirmation of registration.

3.2. A picture ID proof

 

  1. Termination of contract by Organizer:

The Hell Race may cancel a contract with a runner if:

4.1. The runner violates the run rules and regulations that are issued to the runner prior to or during the event.

4.2. The runner interferes with/ disrupts the event in a lasting manner or presents threat to himself/ herself or others.

4.3. The case of a cancellation by the race organizer does not change their entitlement to the prepaid race fee.

  1. Withdrawal by the participant:

Withdrawal from event participation with reimbursement of paid race fee is possible until 15 days of the day on which the payment was received and only in writing by post.

  1. Termination of the race:

In case the race was to be canceled or terminated due to an act of God or a participant does not show up at the race, for reason that the race organizers cannot be held accountable for, the participant is not entitled to any reimbursement of race fees or compensation.

  1. Disclaimer:

7.1. Participation in the Solang SkyULtra 2018 occurs strictly at their own risk. The liability of the event organizers – including third-party claims – is limited to deliberate intent or gross negligence. This also applies to any of the auxiliary person or agents that are deployed in the event by the organizers. Any contractual liability of the race organizer for damages is excluded as long as they do not involve or result from grossly negligent or intentional acts.

7.2. The race organizers cannot be held liable for any defaults in services that relate to external services by third parties for whom the race organizer only serve as an intermediary contact and which were clearly identified as external services within the description of event services.

7.3. The event organizer cannot be held liable for any fault in services that are the result of statutory provisions or official directions, which prevent the participant from running in the event altogether or in part.

7.4. The race organizer cannot be held liable for participant’s lost or stolen clothing, valuable or equipment. Participants are advised to carry adequate insurance.

7.5. If a participant requires or enlist third-party services, in particular, search and rescue services, the event organizers are indemnified from payment. The participant further authorizes the event organizers to collect any charges.

7.6. By registering to the event participants acknowledge their consent with the collection, circulation, and publication of event-related data, such as individual’s timing and results as well as photographs, movie and interview records without any remuneration to them.

  1. Refund Policy:

We have the following refund policies for reimbursement of registration fee –

  1. Before 60 days or more – full refund
  2. 60-45 Days- 50% of the registration fee
  3. 44-30 Days – 25% of the registration fee
  4. Less than 30 Days – No Refund
