FOOD

We will provide nutritious food with variety of local and Indian cuisines. We will have menus specially designed for heavy-workouts and easy-digestible food.

HYDRATION

During the race our body consumes salt and sugar in big amount. Our hydration kit for the race is designed accordingly.

  • Boiled potato, oranges, banana.
  • Salted Chips, Chocolates, Candy.
  • Water, Monster Energy, Electrolyte, Soft drink, Packed Juice.

REQUIRED GEAR

  • Trail running shoes
  • Hydration Pack / Waist bottle pouch
  • Running tights
  • Sun glasses
  • Trekking poles for trail running (Optional)
  • Light hat or head wear
  • Headlamp with Battery cells
  • Anti-chap cream / Sun block cream
  • Knapsack for accessories while running
  • Whistle

Temperature will vary from 26°C to 33°C during the day and slightly cold during the night and early morning.

REACHING RACE VENUE

Race Venue – Akole Maza Basecamp, BhandardaraLocation

 

By Flight:

The nearest airport is the New Pune International airport 75km away or Mumbai airport 165km away. There is no direct flight or rail connectivity.

By Train:

Igatpuri is the nearest railway station which lies on the Mumbai – Nashik rail route and is 45 km from Bhandardara. From there, you can take a state transport bus or a taxi. We will be running fixed departure shuttle service for dropping runners to the race venue. The time for the shuttle will be announced soon. 

By Bus:

State transport buses and shared taxis are easily available in Bhandardara. However, the taxis are generally crowded as they have a share system.

Road/Self Drive:

Mumbai is 180 km from Bhandardara and can be accessed through National Highway 3 (NH3) followed by a right turn from Ghoti toll post. Another 30 km from Ghoti and you arrive in Bhandardara. The distance from Pune is 175 km and can be accessed through NH 50 up to Ghargaon, from Ghargaon take the State highway (SH 21) till Bhandardara.
