It was like the clouds had come down to embrace me, like I had reached heaven. I was so overwhelmed by the beauty of the place that I cried copiously- tears of joy and thanked my good fortune for being healthy and hearty to be there at that moment of time. It was pure bliss! I am going for the 2nd edition of this race to take care of unfinished business. Since I am not getting any younger and don’t plan to live till I am a 100 yrs old, I have to have more of such experiences in my kitty. After all, you only live once!!

It has to be one of the toughest races on the planet. Five days on one of the world’s most dangerous highways; massive climbs, changeable weather, and very little oxygen! If you want to take part in an amazing race, with incredible scenery and a taste of Indian culture then look out for next year’s dates – 5* from me (the first Englishman to complete the race!).

Excellent races with flawless execution, if you want a mentally challenging race which is fun and scenic at the same time then go to one of their races.
Have participated in the Manali Skyrunning race (11th Sep, 2016), Bir-Billing Half Marathon (16th April, 2017) and MTB Challenge Dharamshala (30th April, 2017) and have witnessed MTB Dhauladhar last year in December; all organized by The Hell Race team. I must say that the events were well-organized keeping in mind the smallest of the details. Though a few unharmful glitches were there but overall general experience was great. Looking forward to participate in more races by The Hell Race. Keep up the good work.
Tested the mettle to the core. Hell, it was hell of a race. Couldn’t agree more with the slogan. ‘Not for the weak of Will’. I will be back again and again to test the mental mettle.
The Hell Race truly guided me through hell- it was a tough three days race mostly on jeep tracks and single trails up and down the mountains, the way a mountain bike race should be. Loved every minute of the MTB Challenge – Dhauladhar Chapter 2016.
The Hell Skyrunning taught me that there are going to be moments where it hurts, times when you want to stop & quit – you might even want to cry. But if you push through those moments, you will wind up not only with a body that is physically stronger, but a mind with strength beyond what you ever knew before.
Thank you for providing such a challenging & fantastic race experience. Now I know the real meaning of Trails. Your Team including support staff is amazing, convey my thanks & respect to everyone in your Team.
Amazing experience at the MTB Challenge Dhauladhar Chapter, if u consider your self a mountain biker you must give this event a try, it is worth it. The route is such that you could enjoy the real beauty of the Himalayas and its culture and the race is hell believe me. The staff was brilliant at their work.
‘Great Himalayan Running Festival 2016’ was one journey that will stay with Alankrita & me for a lifetime and is one of the few things I am extremely proud to have part-taken in. Not because it was the first event of its kind, not because I ran the distances, but because I did something that I always thought was beyond me. Hoping for many more stories… and conquering many more self-inflicted limitations !
